    OPTION 1 :

    Day 1

     

    Arrival & Pick-up at Vienna Airport.  Transfer to Budapest the Capital City of Hungary.   Vienna to Budapest is 2 hours to ride by car and about 226 km. Check-in Budapest hotel.

     

    18:00  Danube Cruise at night. 

    The evening sightseeing cruise is combined with a sound and vision show. The boat departs from the center of Budapest and makes an hour round trip in the city. While you are enchanted by the illuminated sights, famous personalities from the Hungarian history, kings, queens, poets, inventors and even the Danube tells you legendary stories about the town. Through TV screens you will be able to look behind the walls of the buildings passing by, to admire the hidden interiors. The program ends with the Blue Danube Waltz which will whisper in your ears any time you remember the tour.

     

     

    Day 2

     

    Breakfast at the hotel.

     

    09:30 we start the tour from the Chain Bridge. First, we take the Margaret Bridge and drive over to Buda. We stop in the Castle District and during a short walk we show you the main attractions of the area. We walk to Matthias Church and to the Fishermen’s Bastion (from where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama).

     

    Next, we drive to the Gellért Hill (Citadel) and show you the most spectacular view of Budapest. We then take you across the Elisabeth Bridge to Pest and show you the famous Central Market Hall, followed by the largest Synagogue of Europe and the City Park. We pass by Europe’s largest thermal spa, the Budapest Zoo and the Amusement Park, after which stop at the Heroes’ Square (with statues of the most famous Hungarian kings and dukes). We then take the Andrássy Avenue to downtown Pest, pass by the Opera House and the St Stephen’s Basilica. We then get off the bus again and take an interior visit of the impressive neo-gothic House of Parliament.

     

    During the tour we offer a brief overview of the last 1000 years of Hungarian history.  ( guided tour & lunch incl.)

     

     

    Day 3

     

    Breakfast at the hotel.

     

    09:30 will start our tour going to Szentendre is a small town situated only 25 km from Budapest. It is definitely one of most popular destinations for tourists visiting Budapest. For many centuries it was the center of Hungarian Serb community. Today it is the capital of artists with lots of museums and galleries. You will enjoy a pleasant walk through the cobblestone, narrow streets of the town and admire its Baroque architecture and see churches of various religions. You will also have some free time for shopping or visiting chosen galleries or museums.

     

    Lunch at local restaurant at Szentendre

     

    Another small town north of Budapest is Visegrád, famous for the remains of the Renaissance summer residence of King Matthias. Visegrád rose to international fame in the 14th century when King Charles I hosted a two-month conference here with the Bohemian king and the Polish king, thereby securing peace and alliance between the three kingdoms. King Matthias reconstructed the Gothic palace in which the meeting took place in Renaissance style in the 15th century.

     

    This was the first time ever that Renaissance appeared in Europe outside Italy. The Royal Palace is definitely a must see, as is the Solomon Tower, a medieval residential tower. If you feel like hiking, the surrounding Visegrád  Hills offer gorgeous views.

     

    Back to hotel.

     

     

    Day 4

     

    Breakfast at the hotel.

     

    09:30  check-out.  Traveling to Heviz,  On the way will visit Balatonfured.  About 130 km, 3 hours by car.

     

    We walk in the Marine Yacht Port of Balatonfüred, see the 19th century villas - Horváth house, Jókai, Vaszary and Blaha Villa - of this legendary holiday town, take a walk on the Rabindranath Tagore Corso at the shore of the Balaton, visit the Kossuth Thermal Spring at the famous Sanatory of Cardiology and the Wine Museum in Széchenyi Castle.

     

    Lunch at local Restaurant.

     

    Transfer to Heviz   about 72 km, 1 hour and 15 minutes by car. 

     

    Check-in & have dinner at the hotel in Heviz. 

     

     

    Day 5

     

    Breakfast at the hotel.

     

    FREE Time to Lake Heviz.

     

    15:00  on the way to visit Heviz, Lake Balaton, Tihani…

     

    Tour to the famous porcelain city Herend. After a guided visit of the world largest Porcelain Manufacture (founded 1826) you can get a little snack or coffee at "Porcelanium". There is also time for a little shopping tour.

     

    We then will continue to the Tihani Peninsula with its famous National Park and a guided visit of the abbey (founded in 1051).

     

    From Tihany we stay on the north side of Lake Balaton, and we are driving all along the panoramic road of the north side, we can see the beautiful hills and Lake.

     

    Will reach Salfold ( Most beautiful ancient village on the north side of Lake Balaton)

     

    Then we will also visit the Palace of the Count Festetics family, is the most remarkable example of the Baroque style in Hungary, the famous library of the palace, a walk in the park.

     

    Back to hotel and have dinner.

     

     

    Day 6

     

    Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

     

    09:30  Transfer from Heviz (Hungary) to Bled. Our guide welcomes guests in Heviz and the transfer to hotel in Bled follows. First sightseeing stop on your way to Bled is  Maribor, the second largest Slovenian city and the capital of Štajerska region or of the eastern Slovenia. Here you can visit the oldest wine in the world. It is inscribed in the Guinness book of records – as the oldest wine plant in the world. And you can stroll along Drava River over the picturesque old Lent barrio.

     

    Lunch at Maribor ( on your own )

     

    After stop at Maribor we head to Bled.

     

    A little white church on the island in the center of an emerald glacial lake is the symbol of Bled, a romantic alpine resort.  Guests can enjoy a pleasant trip in a gondola-type boat called Pletna to the island and spend some time at this peaceful sanctuary of St Mary Church on the Island.

     

    Later guests can visit Bled Castle, the oldest in Slovenia which stands on a steep cliff above Lake Bled.

    Bled Castle is a medieval castle built on a precipice above the city of Bled in Slovenia, overlooking Lake Bled. According to written sources, it is the oldest Slovenian castle and is currently one of the most visited tourist attractions in Slovenia.

     

     

    Day 7

     

    Breakfast at the hotel.

     

    Full day visit to Bohinj Lake with its natural spots in Triglav National Park as for example beautiful waterfall Savica and a gondola ride up to mount Vogel. A walk on mount Vogel. And on our way back we can also visit Blejski vintgar. A beautiful Alpine gorge with pristine nature and emerald green water all around us.

     

    Bohinj is the starting point for numerous mountain hikes, but it also inspires visitors with a rich ethnologic heritage with many cultural and sacral attractions as well. Here you can visit the largest glacier lake in Slovenia situated in the region of the Julian Alps mountain range, with the highest Slovene peak (Mt.Triglav) rising above it. Take a 15 minutes' walk to the source of the Sava Bohinjka river and afterwards relax at the side of the peaceful lake of Bohinj.

     

    Later in the afternoon we return to Bled.

    Overnight in Bled.

     

     

    Day 8

     

    After the breakfast guest are headed to Ljubljana to experience a guided visit of Ljubljana historical centre and the castle with funicular in the company of a local guide.

     

    During our sightseeing of the historical city center we will try to impress our guests with a nice stroll along the Ljubljanica river embankment along the Three Bridges and the Shoemakers Bridge which are the city’s symbols. We will also see Town Hall, Cathedral, City open market, Congress square and Dragon's bridge…

     

    Ljubljana is considered a city which suits everyone from its inhabitants to its numerous visitors as well. Despite the fact that it ranks among the middle sized European cities, it maintains the friendliness of a small town and at the same time possesses all the characteristics of a metropolis. It is a city with a soul, featured by the Baroque Old Town which is nestled at the foot of Castle Hill, the Art Nouveau mansions as well as some of the masterpieces of the world renowned architect Jože Plečnik.

     

    After the visit of all important Ljubljana sights you will have some free time for lunch, shopping, coffee, your own stroll around Ljubljana’s historical center.

     

    Free time for lunch. Later we head to Postojna to visit the magical world of subterranean kingdom of our Carstic region – Postojna cave.

     

    Postojna Cave has been the most visited cave in Europe. There are about five kilometers of regulated passages out of a total of 21 kilometers. The cave is full of shining stalagmites and stalactites of different colors and shapes and little lakes with crystal clear water. We are entering the cave by a special small electric train. One of the attractions of the Cave is also the human fish, proteus anguinus, for which the people in antiquity thought that these were small dragons.

     

    After visiting Postojna caves we head back to Bled for overnight.

    Our guide will escort you to your selected airport.
